One day I was painting my Nails and I decided to experiment with using a 'Bobby pin' and normal nail varnish to create a dotted effect!! Which came out pretty well!!
To create the Dotty Nail Look:
For the base coat: My all time favourite nail varnish Barry M which I love so much with the brightness of the colours and leaves a great look which does look tacky!!
I Use Barry M's Base/Top coat + hardener for my first layer to prevent the main colour damaging your nails.
After the base coat has dryed then I do the main colour!! Which you can choose any you want!! (Match your new outfit maybe..?)
Next get a 'bobby pins' or Kirby grips (which you can get cheaply from most beauty stores) or if not get something which has a circular point at the end (back of a pen,toothpick etc.) But I find bobby pins are most affective.
Now bend the pin but not so it snaps! Make sure your nails are dry!!
Now pour a small amount of any nail varnish you want (doesn't have to be expensive because you are only using a small amount of it) On to a scrap pieace of paper and dip the rounded side of the bobby pin into the nail varnish and carefully spolge it onto your nails (a very small amount because it can run) and dot away!! :D And you get your Dotted nails!! :)
